Our Story

Event Bridge was founded by Lethabo Mohaladi who has been active in the South African events space since 2021.

At just 15, Lethabo organized his first event, Oasis Winter Party, drawing approximately 300 attendees. The Oasis Winter Party became an annual fixture, and in 2022 he added Oasis Summer Invasion to the calendar. Along the way, he was mentored by DJ Kaymoworld through the KandyKoated Kandyland annual event and KKS (Kandy Koated Sundae).

As a certified full-stack developer (with certifications from Google and FNB South Africa), Lethabo decided to build the ticketing platform he wished he’d had when he was still in the events space — one that empowers organisers, especially Black-owned South African startups, with faster payouts, transparent referrals, and an on-the-go setup that’s hassle-free.

That platform is Event Bridge: a secure, Firebase-hosted, mobile-first ticketing solution with SSL-protected transactions and payments via leading local providers like Paystack and Yoco. It’s designed to keep customer fees low (from R4) and organiser payout fees affordable (from R50), while delivering a seamless buyer and gate-check experience.
