By accessing or using Event Bridge, you agree to:

Event Bridge is an online platform that facilitates:

• Ticket purchasing and event registration
• Event creation and management tools for organisers
• Payment processing for ticket sales
• Communication between event organisers and attendees
• Event promotion and marketing tools

We act as an intermediary between event organisers and ticket purchasers, providing the platform and tools necessary for these transactions.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of our Service, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• All activities that occur under your account
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Ensuring your contact information is current and accurate
• Complying with these Terms and applicable laws

3.3 Account Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited activities.

4. Ticket Purchases and Sales

4.1 Ticket Purchases

When purchasing tickets through Event Bridge:

• You enter into a contract directly with the event organiser
• All sales are final unless otherwise specified by the organiser
• Ticket prices include applicable taxes and fees
• You must provide accurate billing and contact information
• You agree to use tickets only for lawful purposes

4.2 Payment Processing

Event Bridge uses secure third-party payment processors. By making a purchase, you agree to:

• Provide valid payment information
• Pay all charges associated with your purchase
• Accept responsibility for any declined or failed payments
• Comply with the payment processor's terms of service
• Not file a chargeback or dispute for tickets you intend to use, doing so will lead to legal action taken against you and termination of tickets

4.3 Ticket Delivery and Access

Tickets are delivered electronically unless otherwise specified. You are responsible for:

• Ensuring you can receive and access electronic tickets
• Bringing valid identification to events as required
• Following event-specific entry requirements
• Safeguarding your tickets from unauthorized use

4.4 Refunds and Cancellations

Refund policies are set by individual event organisers. Event Bridge may facilitate refunds but is not responsible for refund decisions. In cases where we process refunds:

• Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
• We might reach out to you using email for bank details via info@eventbridgeapp.co.za
• Processing may take 5-10 business days
• Service fees may not be refundable
• Partial refunds may apply in certain circumstances

5. Event Organiser Responsibilities

5.1 Event Creation and Management

As an event organiser, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete event information
• Honor all ticket sales and commitments
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Obtain necessary permits and licenses
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
• Handle customer service for your events

5.2 Content and Marketing

You are responsible for all event content, including:

• Event descriptions, images, and promotional materials
• Ensuring content is accurate and not misleading
• Obtaining rights to use any copyrighted material
• Complying with advertising standards and regulations
• Complying with Event Bridge branding policy by adding our black/white "Tickets Available on Event Bridge" logos to all of your posters which can be found on our Partner Resources Page

5.3 Financial Responsibilities

Event organisers are responsible for:

• Setting appropriate ticket prices and policies
• Paying applicable platform fees
• Managing refunds and customer disputes
• Complying with tax obligations
• Handling chargebacks and payment disputes

6. Prohibited Activities

You may not use Event Bridge to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Distribute malware or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Create fake accounts or impersonate others
• Engage in scalping or ticket speculation
• Post inappropriate or offensive content
• Spam or send unsolicited communications
• Resell tickets offered exclusively by another platform

7. Intellectual Property Rights

7.1 Event Bridge Content

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Event Bridge Technologies and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 User Content

By posting content on Event Bridge, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute such content in connection with the Service.

7.3 Respect for Others' Rights

You agree to respect the intellectual property rights of others and not to upload, post, or share content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other proprietary rights.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service. By using Event Bridge, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

9.1 Service Disclaimer

Event Bridge is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties or representations about:

• The accuracy or completeness of event information
• The quality or safety of events
• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Security of data transmission
• Compatibility with all devices or systems
• Cancellations of events due to Natural disasters

9.2 Third-Party Events and Services

We are not responsible for:

• The conduct or quality of events listed on our platform
• Actions or omissions of event organisers
• Third-party payment processors
• External websites or services linked from our platform
• Technical issues beyond our control

9.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Event Bridge and Event Bridge Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits or revenue
• Loss of data or information
• Business interruption
• Personal injury or property damage
• Emotional distress
• Theft of belongings

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Event Bridge, Event Bridge Technologies, and our officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of third parties
• Content you post or share on the platform
• Events you organize or attend

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

11.2 Dispute Resolution Process

For any disputes arising under these Terms:

1. Direct Communication: Contact us first to attempt resolution
2. Mediation: If direct communication fails, we encourage mediation
3. Binding Arbitration: Unresolved disputes may be subject to binding arbitration
4. Jurisdiction: Courts of Johannesburg, South Africa have exclusive jurisdiction

11.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

12. Force Majeure

Event Bridge shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters or severe weather
• Government actions or regulations
• War, terrorism, or civil unrest
• Internet or telecommunications failures
• Pandemics or public health emergencies
• Labor strikes or disputes

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

• We will post the updated Terms on our website
• We will update the "Last Updated" date
• For significant changes, we may provide additional notice
• Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms

We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically for any changes.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms will remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and Event Bridge regarding the use of our Service.
